Duathlon Elite Nationals

Just in from it. Felt a bit too tired on the first run and maybe I should have skipped the morning swim. The run was a bit demanding with a lot of turns and changes of speed and I had trouble finding a comfortable pace (you know.. that vomit-pace). I entered T1 somewhere in 8th or 9th place. Then waited a bit for a team mate (a good cyclist) and was on for the chase. I caught most of the guys in front on the first 15Km's and the one left - World U23 Champion, Sergio Silva - had to wait more 10Km for my approach. Five were left in that leading group of mine and that was how we entered T2. Maybe I could have challenged for the podium but I wasn't that into it. I crossed the line in 4th overall and was more than happy with it. Sergio Silva won as expected. Alcino Serras (2006 Champion) was second and my team mate Miguel Ganchinho third. A great race display from Miguel. By the end of the day a really good overall training day for me and some boost for next week's race.

Who ever said Duathlon races are harder than Tri's?

Totally agree.

Parabéns pela bela prova. 4º com esses senhores é muito bom.

mas agora tenho que fazer uma crítica, não à prova mas ao teu texto. Tens ali umas frases um bocadinho engatadas, não? Ainda estavas cansado do Duatlo? Eu sei que consegues melhor :)))

(Dá lá uma vista de olhos)
